Cells that make up the nervous system. Neurons express ion channels such as sodium channels and potassium channels, so they can transmit signals in an electrical way, unlike other cells. In addition, it receives and stores various information by sending and receiving signals through a structure called synapse with adjacent neurons. It is estimated that there are about 10billion nerve cells in the human brain only in the cerebral cortex.
